Add/update your alternate (non-Langara) email address

Overview

Every student needs to have an alternate (non-Langara) email address in our system. This is required for the use of our password reset tool and for other cloud-based systems that you will use during your studies at Langara.

Solution

Log in to the Student Information System (SIS):

  1. Go to www.langara.ca and click Login in the top right-hand corner
  2. Click on Student Information System​​​
  3. Login with your Langara ID (aka Student ID) and password

Once you’ve logged in: 

  1. Click on the Students tab (grey navigation button)
  2. Click on Personal Information
  3. In the Type of E-mail to Insert field, select Student from the drop-down menu and click Add
  4. In the Email field, type in your alternate (non-Langara) email address and click Submit

Once you have added your new email:

  1. Click on the email address that is set as Preferred
  2. Un-check the box beside Make this your Preferred Personal address
  3. Click Submit (you will note that none of the email addresses have the word Preferred beside them)
  4. Click on the personal email address you want to make your Preferred Personal address
  5. Make sure the Make this your Preferred Personal address box is checked next to the email address
  6. Click the Submit button to complete the process
