Overview
Every student needs to have an alternate (non-Langara) email address in our system. This is required for the use of our password reset tool and for other cloud-based systems that you will use during your studies at Langara.
Solution
Log in to the Student Information System (SIS):
- Go to www.langara.ca and click Login in the top right-hand corner
- Click on Student Information System
- Login with your Langara ID (aka Student ID) and password
Once you’ve logged in:
- Click on the Students tab (grey navigation button)
- Click on Personal Information
- In the Type of E-mail to Insert field, select Student from the drop-down menu and click Add
- In the Email field, type in your alternate (non-Langara) email address and click Submit
Once you have added your new email:
- Click on the email address that is set as Preferred
- Un-check the box beside Make this your Preferred Personal address
- Click Submit (you will note that none of the email addresses have the word Preferred beside them)
- Click on the personal email address you want to make your Preferred Personal address
- Make sure the Make this your Preferred Personal address box is checked next to the email address
- Click the Submit button to complete the process
