Overview
The eduroam Wi-Fi network is available for all registered students and employees.
Follow the steps below to connect to eduroam on an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.
Solution
CAUTION: Your Computer User ID must be activated before you can connect to Wi-Fi
If you have not activated your Computer User ID, please see related articles: Activate your Computer User ID (employees) or Activate your Computer User ID (students)
Connect your iOS device to the eduroam wireless network to access Wi-Fi on campus.
If you do not have a data plan on your device, follow these steps first:
- Open the Settings app
- Tap Wi-Fi
- Under CHOOSE A NETWORK tap on Langara
- Enter your Computer User ID and password
- Tap the Login button
- Tap Done
Proceed to the steps below to complete the connection to eduroam.
- Open the Safari browser app
- Go to wifi.langara.ca
- For Username enter your Langara e-mail address (Computer User ID + @langara.ca for employees; Computer User ID + @mylangara.ca for Students)
- Tap the JoinNow button
- Tap Install to install the SecureW2 certificates
- Enter your iPhone or iPad passcode (if one has been set)
- Tap Install
- Tap the Install button
- Enter your Computer User ID password
- Tap Next
- Tap Done to exit the installation process
eduroam and eduroam5GHz will now be properly configured on your iPhone or iPad. Your device will connect to eduroam automatically whenever you are in range of the wireless network when on campus.
