Overview
Once a student-worker's employment period ends, their Langara Office 365 account (Email and OneDrive) will revert from employee to a student account and all content will be deleted. This includes all emails sent or received by the student-worker and all data in OneDrive. Emails and data can be restored within 90 days of end of employment by special request from the students former manager or supervisor. Emails and data will be restored to the student-workers @mylangara.ca email account.
Student-Workers: may include co-op students, teaching assistants, and others.
NOTE - If you are a student-worker and your last day of employment has not yet come, you can backup your personal data yourself. See the following article for details: Article - Backup O365 Email and OneDrive Files Locally

- Date of last day of employment.
- User ID of Student-Worker you wish to have data restored.
- The data that you would like the student to regain access to (Emails and/or OneDrive).

After you make request
You will receive an email notification from the email system with a ticket number for reference. You may reply to the email if you have any further details or questions. Upon completion of the request, you will receive an email from IT requesting that you confirm all is as requested. Depending on quantity of data being restored, it may take some time for it all to re-appear.
NOTE - When requesting data be restored for a departing student worker, you must remind the student that they are still bound by the terms of employment regarding confidentiality, and that the student must remove any employment-related emails accordingly.
