Overview

The College provides Wi-Fi Internet access across the campus via guest accounts. Employees can create up to 5 guest accounts within a 7-day period using the new eduroam Visitor Access (eVA) portalFor detailed instructions, visit our KBA: Creating a Guest Wi-Fi / eduroam Visitor Access (eVA) account.

Note: All active employees should have this access by default. Employees in Facilities and Strategic Communications & Marketing can create up to 200 accounts within a 1-day period.

CAUTION -  All guest access to eduroam must by in compliance with the College's Computer and Computing System Use policy, B5002

Before you make request

If you have exceeded your limit of guest accounts for this period, or if you need to create more than 5 guest accounts within a 7-day period, you may use this service request form to initiate batch creation of guest accounts.

NOTE -  Once the accounts are created, users will be notified immediately by email or text with their eduroam username, password, and instructions on how to connect. If you would like the accounts to be created on a specific date, please specify the requested creation date in your submission.

Please ensure you have the following information ready:

  • Name of the person needing access or the event access is needed for.
  • Business reason for access.
  • Start/End Date for access.
  • Completed copy of the required batch-example.csv file to attach to your request. See the image below for details.

CAUTIONDo not remove any columns from the CSV file. All six columns are required.

  • Column A – First Name: Required. Enter the guest's first name.

  • Column B – Middle Name/Initial: Optional. This field can be left blank if the user does not have a middle name or initial.

  • Column C – Last Name: Required. Enter the guest’s last name.

  • Column D – Email and Column E – Phone Number:

    • If notifications will be sent by email only, all rows must have the Email field populated.

    • If notifications will be sent by phone only, all rows must have the Phone Number field populated.

    • If guests should be notified by both email and phone, then both Email and Phone Number fields must be populated for every guest in the batch file.

    • The application will not send notifications to both methods if some rows have missing email or phone number fields.

  • Column F – Language: Required. This value must be set to en.

Important! Please ensure that you include the country code (1 in North America) to ensure that credentials are sent to the correct mobile number.

After you make request

You will receive an email notification from the email system with a ticket number for reference. You may reply to the email if you have any further details or questions. Upon completion of the request, you will receive an email from IT requesting that you confirm all is as requested.
