Banner Access Request

What Is It?

All teaching and non-teaching staff require access to the Banner application to do their job. Depending upon the employee position, the authorized access requestors from the different departments should make a request to IT to grant the required access. It is also the responsibility of the authorized requestors to identify the needed security setup for their staff. Once the appropriate access is identified, the requestor should fill in the form by completing the mandatory information and create an IT service banner access request. IT then reviews the requests and completes the needed setup for staff.

Required Information to request service. Please be prepared to provide the following information when requesting this service. It will be necessary to fill out the request form.

You will need the details of the person who is to receive the Banner Access:

  • Employee ID
  • Employee Name (First and Last)
  • Employee Email Address

You will need to provide the type of access the person should have when submitting the request. Make sure you have the below information ready to save yourself time when filling out the form:

  • Banner INB Access – specify all the needed security classes
  • Banner SSB
  • Web Reports – specify the report names 
  • WebTailor – specify roles
  • SSB Pages & links – specify all the security classes
  • Banner Extender - specify the user group

How Do I Access It?

In order to log in to Banner please go to

  1. Click Log In
  2. Click myLangara (Employees).
    • Log in using your Office 365 account.
  3. Once logged in, click on Banner (Faculty Advisor).
    • Log in using your Langara ID and Password

Banner Access Request
This service is used by authorized access requestors to make any banner-related staff access requests for specific positions. For example, RES can request staff access for their own teams, CS teams, AR users, and instructional departments.
