Access Windows 11 from a personal device in a web browser

Overview

Windows 11 in computer labs is currently available for select BCAP courses and Pro Desktop users

The Windows 11 environment can be access from a browser on a personal device. PC or Mac. Please follow the steps below to get access. 

If you have issues with accessing the Windows 11 environment or challenges when you are working in it, please submit a Windows 11 Lab Support ticket.

Solution

To access Langara AVD Windows 11 PC/Mac Desktop from a browser, follow these steps:

  1. Open a browser that supports the following link: https://client.wvd.microsoft.com/arm/webclient/v2/index.html
  2. Enter your email address (for example, jdoe@langara.ca) on the Microsoft sign-in page and click "Next".
  3. Type your password and click "Sign in".
  4. Confirm your identity with your 2FA authentication method.
  5. Select "Yes" to stay signed in.
  6. Click on preferred Workspace.
  7. Allow access to local resources if asked.
  8. Make sure your email address is correct (i.e.: yourusername@langara.ca).
  9. Type your email password and click "Submit".
