Outlook email stuck in Outbox folder

Overview

Some Outlook cloud add-ins, including Adobe Document Cloud add-in which comes included with Acrobat DC's PDF Maker, will make all items stay in the outbox after trying to send them.

Solution (If appropriate)

If you have the Adobe Document Cloud add-in installed, follow these steps in Outlook to remove it.

  1. Click on File
  2. Click on Options
  3. Select Add-ins
  4. Click on the Go... button next to Manage:
  5. Uncheck Adobe Document Cloud for Microsoft Outlook - Acrobat
  6. Click Ok
  7. Go back to your Inbox and click on the Send/Receive tab
  8. Click on Send/Receive All Folders
