No user specific ColorSync folder on Macintosh computers

Overview

A user will attempt to add a ColorSync profile to their user profile but cannot find the ~/Library/*username*/ColorSync directory

Solution

  1. Navigate to /Users/*username*/Library and see if there is a directory named ColorSync.
  2. If there is help the user add the .icc file to the Profiles directory located within ColorSync.
  3. If not, while logged in as the user, open /Applications/Utilities/ColorSync.app.
  4. Click on the Profiles icon in the upper ribbon.
  5. That will create the /Users/*username*/Library/ColorSync directory.
  6. Place the users .icc file in the Profiles directory.
