Install MiVoice Business Console switchboard software

Overview

Go through the configuration wizard for the Mitel switchboard software to correctly setup Facilities switchboard.

Currently there are 3 computers in the Facilities office setup with this software

CAUTION: The GlobalProtect VPN is known to cause issues with the Switchboard software. If you encounter Switchboard issues, ensure you check the VPN status  

Solution

  1. Install software from N:\ITData\COLLABORATIVE\Software\Mitel\MiVoiceBusinessConsoleSetup_9.1.1.23.exe
  2. Start MiVoice Business Console Configuration Wizard from the Windows Start Menu
  3. On the Welcome screen, click Next
  4. On the Administrative Access screen, check Console has Administrative Access, click Next
  5. On the Master Profile screen, click Next
  6. On the Operating Mode screen, enter the IP address from MiVoice Business Server
    1. For Langara Desktops, enter IP address for MiVioce Business 10.65.248.9, click Next
    2. For Langara Laptops, enter IP for MiVoice Border Gateway 209.87.29.166, click Next 
  7. ​​​​​​​On the Registration Information screen, input:
    1. Set Replacement Access code: #693
    2. Direct Number for this console:
      1. Valid DNs as of Jan 19, 2022:
        1. Bhumika - 3533
        2. Aileen - 3540
        3. Carmine - 3579
        4. Mitel Test Installation - 3510
    3. Check Use PC MAC
    4. Click Next
  8. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​On the Quality Of Service (QoS) Settings screen, click Next
  9. On the Ready to Make Changes screen, review the information and click Next
  10. On the Performing Changes screen, click Next
  11. On the The changes are complete screen, click Finish

Now, you need to re-setup the headset

  1. Open the MiVoice Business Console
    1. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​If a warning message appears, check the Do not show me this message again checkbox
    2. Hover mouse over headphone icon and click pulldown – you should see an option Audio Panel
    3. Click Audio Panel, and in the  Audio Device Selection, select device to be used by MiVoice Business Console​​​​​​​ (Usually Plantronics Savi 7xx)
    4. Choose High Definition Audio Device for Ringer Selection
    5. Click Close
