IPA works in partnership with departments, academic units, and leadership to provide custom research, analysis, and reporting in support of planning, evaluation, and decision-making. Ad hoc reports can help address questions that are unique, time-sensitive, or too complex for standardized reporting.
This service includes collaborating with requestors to clarify business and research questions, identifying appropriate data sources, and determining the most suitable analytical approach. IPA may design and conduct analyses using institutional data, survey or administrative data, and other relevant sources, and produce reports to meet specific needs.
IPA can also provide guidance on research design, methodology, data collection instruments (such as surveys), and interpretation of results for departments and faculty undertaking their own studies, helping ensure that findings are valid, comparable, and aligned with institutional standards and data governance practices.
