Access Windows 11 desktops in computer labs

This article describes how to access Windows 11 (from on-campus general computer labs)

Overview

Windows 11 will be available in computer labs,  Main Desktop for some courses and those courses that require the  Pro Desktop option.

If you encounter any issues accessing the new Windows 11 computer lab environment or experience related technical difficulties, please submit a  Windows 11 Lab Support ticket.

Solution

Note: These instructions will take effect as of May 2024 in computer labs and enhanced classroom:

  1. Enter your email address (e.g. jdoe00@mylangara.ca) into the 'AVD Credentials' dialog box
  2. Enter your password
  3. Click Connect 
  4. Click Continue [to trust this computer if prompted]
  5. Choose your assigned or preferred Workspace ( e.g. Main Desktop or Pro Desktop as required)
