Overview

The eduroam network is used to connect to Wi-Fi at Langara.

CAUTION: eduroam will not work on macOS 10.7 (Lion) or lower. Upgrade to a newer version of macOS to connect to eduroam.

Solution

TIP: Make sure you have activated your Computer User ID before connecting to Wi-Fi. See: Activate your Computer User ID

To connect to Wi-Fi on your Mac computer, follow these steps.

  1. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the Finder menu bar
  2. Choose Langara
  3. Enter your Computer User ID (CUID) and password
  4. Click the Login button
  5. Once connected, open a browser and go to https://wifi.langara.ca
  6. Click the Join Now button
    • This will begin a download of a small installer that automatically configures a connection to the eduroam network
  7. Run the installer
  8. Enter your Langara email address and CUID password when prompted
  9. Follow prompts until process is complete, then click Done
  10. Verify connection by opening a web browser and navigating to a valid website
