Overview
Brightspace by D2L is the online course management system used to enhance learning outside the classroom.
Solution
CAUTION: You will not be able to see your Brightspace courses until the first day of classes. For Regular Studies this will be a date in early January, May or September. For Continuing Studies it varies by individual program/course.
Brightspace uses your email address and password for login. You will be challenged for two-factor authentication (2FA) if you have not already signed into a service that uses 2FA.
Students
NOTE: Activate your Computer User ID first. The password you create is also used for Brightspace. See Activate your Computer User ID (students)
- Go to the myLangara login page: https://langara.ca/login/
- Click the Brightspace link: https://d2l.langara.bc.ca/d2l/login. You may also use this link directly.
- Enter your email address and password. If you are on campus machines you will not be required to 2FA
- If you are on a personal device (off campus or on), you will be prompted to 2FA (if you are not already signed in to a service that requires 2FA, such as Office365.com)
Employees
- Go to the myLangara login page: https://langara.ca/login/
- Click the myLangara (employees) link
- Enter your email address and password and verify account using 2FA if you are not already signed in to a service that requires 2FA
- Click the Brightspace icon to be taken directly to your Brightspace account
