Body

Overview

Q. What is StudentShare?

A. StudentShare network storage is available for faculty to store files for students to access. Each course has their own folder which the registered students in that course can access. Instructors can drop files into StudentShare that they want the students to have and students can upload files for instructors to see and review or mark as needed.

Q. How much space does each student get to start with?

A. By default each course section gets 9.8GB, but this can be increased based on the course's needs. Please submit a General File Sharing Support ticket to ask for an increase in your StudentShare folder size and provide a business case.

Q. What is the download/upload speed?

A. The speed for uploads and downloads is 1Gbps and 20 students can transfer at the same time without a reduction in speed.

Q. Where do I find StudentShare?

A. On Windows this shows up as O:\ drive in the Drive list by default. On a Mac it needs to be connected. See this KBA for instructions.
