Checking and managing time zone settings on computers

Overview

Making sure your computer is on the correct time zone is an important part of its configuration.

Please refer to the vendor articles below to check and manage your computer's time zone settings.

CAUTION - Time zone settings cannot be changes on devices managed by Langara IT. This can only be done on personal devices.

Solution

TIP - For the new BC time zone, Pacific time (PCT, UTC-07:00), Microsoft has created (UTC-07:00) Pacific Time (British Columbia) while Apple's time zone is based on location. Make sure you have installed the latest updates and have restarted your device to ensure they have the latest time zone definitions.
